Josh is a seasoned chemical engineer with 20 years of experience in technology development, specializing in alternative renewable energy and carbon capture. His career has been marked by a commitment to innovation and excellence in these critical areas.
Josh’s expertise encompasses fermentation processes, ranging from small Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) systems to the original Pilot Bubble Column Bioreactor (BCBR) system in Madison, PA. He is also proficient in integrating modeling efforts to create predictive reactor models and optimize the Synata Bio system. His work includes developing automated control systems and enhancing operability, ensuring that the processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Before joining Synata Bio, Josh was deeply involved in the development of various advanced technologies. His experience includes enzymatic carbon capture and the development of fuel cell stacks, including enzymatic, microbial, high-pressure H2/Air systems, and electrolyzers. This diverse background has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of renewable energy technologies.
